The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) has held races at Lime Rock Park from the very beginning. In fact, the track’s first-ever race weekend – April 27-28, 1957 – was an SCCA New England Region event!
An SCCA race day at Lime Rock Park is amateur racing at its finest. The club has classes for every kind of race car imaginable, from virtually stock sedans and sports cars to formula cars of every type, and the competition is always close and exciting. The races are non-stop from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the paddock is very family friendly, too.
For 2014, Lime Rock Park hosts two SCCA events.
On Saturday, June 21 are the SCCA New England Region races, followed by the title-deciding races on Saturday, September 27: the North Atlantic Road Racing Championship, also famously called the NARRC Run-offs.
The end-of-season NARRC Run-offs have been held at Lime Rock since the 1960s!
The bottom line: SCCA races at Lime Rock are fun and exciting to watch, and the tickets are only $10 in advance. If you’ve never been here for an SCCA race day, make 2014 the year to do it.
