The 8th Annual Sunday Royals Car Show at Lime Rock Park saw well over 300 cars and trucks of every stripe line Sam Posey Straight from the track’s Downhill corner to halfway through Big Bend. This year’s designated charity was Autism Families Connecticut, an organization passionately supported by Wayne Carini.
Wayne was at the show all day – he had also brought his [Steve] Moal Speedway Roadster – signing autographs and posing for fan selfies.
A special fifth trophy, “Wayne’s Winner,” was created for this event to go along with “Skip’s Selection,” “Royals Crown,” “Veterans Vote” and “Peoples Pick.”
Here are this year’s award winners...
► Wayne’s Winner: 1965 AMC Marlin, Robert Hayden, Great Barrington, Mass.
► Skip’s [Barber] Selection: 1932 Ford “Five-Window” Coupe, Ed & Lorraine Beauchaine, Morris, Conn.
