VIP Fan Hospitality at Lime Rock Park

One of the best things about Lime Rock Park is that fans who buy regular General Admission tickets are not treated as second class citizens: You get terrific comfortable viewing from your choice of gorgeous, shaded hillsides, and the fencing is close to the action. Parking is free, access to the race team paddocks is free, youths 16 and under are free, and active and retired military are free. In other words, fans and families don’t have to buy anything extra to truly enjoy the day at the races at Lime Rock Park. Which is not to say there aren’t ways to upgrade your fan experience! Lime Rock has two options in particular for the Pirelli World Challenge Memorial Day Weekend season opener (May 27) that we want to tell you about: VIP Fan Hospitality, and Personal Cabanas on the Infield Hillside.

1. VIP Fan Hospitality

“VIP” is not a marketing department exaggeration: Your Lime Rock experience is nearly identical to what a big race team or sponsor provides when they host an event for their VIPs at the track. Great food and drink all day, a large hospitality tent with comfortable seating, guest appearances, personalized paddock tour, Preferred Infield Parking, an event bag with some goodies – you’re even automatically entered to win a drawing for some “hot laps” on the track. The cost is $185 and includes Admission; if you already have admission to the track, the price is $140. (Youths 16 and under pay $30 for VIP Fan Hospitality and are admitted free into the track.)

2. Hillside Cabana

Located at the top of what many consider Lime Rock’s best viewing area – the hillside overlooking the Esses – a personal three-sided cabana with nice lawn chairs to use is a great way for a small group of family and friends to enjoy a “mini-hospitality” experience... call it casual luxury. Bring your own coolers, sure, but if you want, call us ahead of time and order from a huge menu of food and drink, and we’ll have it ready when you get here! Cabana orders come with Guaranteed Infield Parking (arrive any time you want because we save your parking spot).

At Lime Rock for Memorial Day weekend, the Pirelli World Challenge series brings all seven PWC classes: GT, GTA, GTS, GT Cup, plus the three Touring Car classes – TC, TCA and TCB. PWC's featured class is GT, which are production-based cars in the international GT3 specification from manufacturers including Cadillac, Bentley, Acura, Nissan, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes and more. The GTS cars are run to the international GT4 rules, and include Camaros, Mustangs, Audi TT and the like. GT Cup cars are the international spec-racer Porsches, Lamborghinis and Ferraris. The Touring Car classes are for smaller-engined BMWs, Porsches, Mustangs, Hondas, Mazdas, Chevrolets, Minis, Nissans and KIAs. Each division has two races over the weekend. All the GT-class races at Lime Rock are being run in the new, exciting "SprintX" format: 60 minutes long, with a mandatory driver swap at 25 minutes.
