What is AxIS?
AxIS is the acronym for Lime Rock Park’s “Autocross Invitational Shootout”
Sponsored by Dean Cusano at Motorcars Incorporated, Connecticut's premier Jaguar specialist and a frequent competitor in the Lime Rock Park Autocross Season
It is the end-of-year autocross competition where the fastest drivers from the season’s Autocross Days are invited to race against the clock in hopes of being crowned the Lime Rock Autocross champion. Last year, AxIS was Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Here's a bit of information on what happened last year:
The Autocross Invitational Shootout presented by Motorcars Incorporated is an invitation-only afternoon of open autocross, 12:30 – 5:00 PM, on Saturday October 28th. This is a day where the 20 fastest autocross participants from the year get to showcase their talents and fight for the top spot as Lime Rocks fastest autocross participant.
The beginning of the day is designed for the top 30 fastest cars, known as the “Smackdown”. This is a time for participants to better their fastest times, and allows for customers sitting on the “bubble” a chance to break into the top 20!
By mid-afternoon, the top 20 is selected, and the Autocross Invitational Shootout presented by Motorcars Incorporated begins!
By the end of this day, we will crown a winner at our Awards Ceremony. Participants of the day will also be able to enjoy some hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine.
The Autocross Invitational Shootout presented by Motorcars Incorporated is free to the people who have earned a place in this very impressive field. This is our way of thanking you for all your efforts.

12:30 – 1:00 Open Practice
