Laguna, Lime Rock join SVRA schedule for 2019 (RACER)

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) has revealed its 2019 racing schedule which includes the additions of two more of America’s most revered road courses — WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Lime Rock Park. America’s premier vintage racing series gets into full swing for its 41st year in February with the annual Sebring Vintage Classic weekend and closes with the seventh Golden Bell Helmet U.S. Vintage National Championships at Circuit of The Americas in October.

Charity Food Drive

To help those in need this holiday season, Lime Rock Park Catering is collecting non-perishable food items for The Corner Food Pantry in Lakeville, Conn., as well as pet supply items for The Little Guild Animal Shelter in Cornwall, Conn.

Please drop off your donations to Lime Rock Park’s Guest Services at 60 White Hollow Rd., building or the Track Office at 497 Lime Rock Road prior to Dec. 7, 2019.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, from 10am to 3pm, the Lime Rock Catering van will be parked outside the Stop & Shop in Canaan, Conn., collecting food and pet items.

Fundraising Efforts Abound At Historic Festival 36

On Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, Lime Rock Park presented The Corner Food Pantry of Lakeville, Conn., with a donation in the amount of $2,860. The funds were raised by collecting $25 or more from participants of the Vintage Race and Sports Car Parade. Held on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2018, the parade traverses a 17-mile route through the communities of Lime Rock, Lakeville, Salisbury and Falls Village and is the kick-off event for Historic Festival 36 (Aug. 29 - Sept. 3, 2018). 

Historic Festival Nominated for Prestigious International Award

This year's Historic Festival 36, held over Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 30 - Sept. 3, 2018), has been named a finalist for the “Motorsport Event of the Year” by the International Historic Motoring Awards (IMHA), presented in association with Octane magazine and EFG Private Bank. The winner of this and 18 additional categories will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on Oct. 25, 2018.

Historic Festival 36 By The Numbers

Congratulations to all the 192 competitors who joined us for the races at Historic Festival 36.

A total of 221 entries raced among eight race groups. Competitors came from five countries and 25 states in the U.S.

Rick Bell took the fastest lap time at 52.319 seconds racing in the red No. 78 1978 Ralt FA. Review the best times HERE.

There were 19 entries in the Bugatti Grand Prix, representing the featured marque of the festival.
