Skip Barber Racing School To Introduce F4 Formula Cars

When Skip Barber created the Skip Barber Racing School in 1975, the cars he offered to his eager students were Lola Formula Fords. After all, he was the SCCA Formula Ford Champion in both 1969 and 1970 and had gone on to race in Formula 1. Skip realized the cars would be a great classroom for budding racers.

VSCCA Fall Finale - A Prewar Celebration

Sept. 27-29, 2019

The Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) will host their Fall Finale at Lime Rock Park on Sep 27-28, 2019. Spectator admission is free. 

The Lime Rock Park Driver's Club will also be on track, alternating with the VSCCA each hour. On up Autocross area will be a Scout Camp Out and the Sharon Hospital Bicycle Rodeo.

Historic Festival 37 By The Numbers

The 37th annual Historic Festival By The Numbers:

  • 17-mile parade kicked off the event featuring 100 cars traveling through 3 local towns
  • 5 days of activities including 3 days of on track action
  • 18 practice and qualifying sessions held
  • 29 races completed over 2 days 
  • 9 racing groups
  • 212 drivers
  • 217 racing cars
  • Cars that raced ranged from a 1925 Bentley to a 1986 Porsche
