Historic Festival 42 & Sunday In The Park

August 30 – September 2, 2024

Glorious racecars from bygone eras spend their Labor Day Weekend at Lime Rock Park doing what they were made to do: Go racing.

What’s Happening:

Historic Festival 42

Celebrating its 42nd year, the Lime Rock Historic Festival launches into action over Labor Day weekend with a 17-mile tour through the area with Thursday’s Vintage Race Car and Sports Car Parade. Friday, Saturday and Monday feature non-stop, on-track competition across a diverse set of historic racing classes.

On Sunday, the Lime Rock Concours and Gathering of the Marques display nearly 1,000 enthusiast cars and motorcycles arranged around the Lime Rock circuit.

Historic racing

The 42nd edition of the Lime Rock Historic Festival once again brings together an exciting and diverse field of historic racing machines for a Labor Day Weekend celebration of speed, sound and beauty with classes that range from pre-war open-wheel cars to the sports and formula cars of the postwar era.

More than racing, there’s also a swap meet, automobilia, featured speakers, concessions, and more to enjoy over the long weekend.

Racing entry is now open for 2024’s Historic Festival 42. Click below to learn more!

As a part of HF42’s Sunday in the Park, The Lime Rock Concours offers a special line up of beautiful and historic cars across several groups to vie for the Best-in-Show Award.

Dress in your Sunday best to wander around the Park and gander at the finest examples of automobiles and motorcycles in the northeast.

With as many as 800 cars expected, the event will showcase an incredibly diverse display of cars grouped by make, model or country of origin. As part of Historic Festival, Lime Rock Park selects an Honored Collector to be celebrated throughout the weekend. This year’s honored collector is Ross Myers, who will be displaying a beautiful collection of Ford race cars, like the 1986 Probe GTP shown here.

As part of the Historic Festival tradition, Lime Rock Park selects a featured marque to be celebrated throughout the weekend. This year, we’re celebrating Ford, highlighting the 60th Anniversary of the Mustang & the illustrious history of Ford Performance.

Celebrating Lime Rock Park’s illustrious racing history, a featured race group is selected to be highlighted on-track throughout the weekend. This year, we’ll be featuring a new Turn of the Century World Challenge (1995-2005) class. Check back for more info.
