Recognizing Technicians
The Piston Technician Award recognizes the essential contribution auto technicians make to the collector car community through their trade skills and technical automotive expertise. The SN95 Mustang prototype was donated by SCCA racer Charles Ramos.

The Piston Technician Award has been presented annually at the Lime Rock Historic Festival since 2022. Past winners include Mike Marra of Automobile Associates in Canton, CT and Chris Kavaca of Vintage Racing Services, in Strafford, CT.

“Receiving the Piston Technician Award means a lot,” said 2023 recipient Chris Kavaca. “It really goes out to all the crew guys, the mechanics, and drivers that keep us in this business. I really appreciate all of that and I appreciate the Piston Foundation for its efforts to keep this car culture alive.”
