HISTORIC FESTIVAL 40

HONORED MARQUE: CORVETTE

Come join us Labor Day weekend for an extraordinary display of historic Corvettes, starting with the Corvette SS originally raced at Sebring in 1957 by Lime Rock general manager John Fitch. Joining the SS will be the legendary Sting Ray racer, the concept that previewed the famed “midyear” 1963-1967 Corvettes. Also on display will be several mid-engine Corvette concepts, including the advanced 1976 Aerovette and the rarely seen CERV III research vehicle. Several other mid-engine concepts will be displayed, leading up to the current C8 Stingray.

HISTORIC FESTIVAL 40

CORVETTE COMPETITION CARS

Joining the great Corvette concepts will be an even larger selection of Corvette competition cars, including the famous “Gulf One,” the most successful factory-backed production racing Corvette of the C2 era. Other famous racing Corvettes from the 1960s will include Grand Sport 004 from the Revs Institute and the Daytona-winning 1966 L88 development racer campaigned by Roger Penske. They will join numerous other racing Corvettes, including the 2008 Paul Newman racer, the last competition car fielded by the actor.

The concept and competition Corvettes will be joined on Sunday by an exclusive field of production Corvettes representing each era, from C1 to C8, each selected to demonstrate the unique attributes of its generation.
