IMSA Qualifying

Robert Wickens captured the pole in the TCR class for the 2-hour and 15-minute race with a 54.048-second flyer. Driving the No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb Agajanian Hyundai Elantra N TCR  Wickens is coming off a two-race winning streak in the TCR class, today marked his first IMSA career pole.

“I’m happy, I pushed a lot, saving that left front which seems to be pretty important here,” said Wickens. “This place is awesome, you really have to push here, traffic will be an issue, glad to start up front and the No. 33 Elantra N TCR is dialed in!”

The FCP Euro WeatherTech SportsCar Championship battle starts on Saturday at 2:55 p.m. Eastern with Matt Campbell on pole. “I mean, we are thinking about the big picture here,” said Cambell.  “Tomorrow’s is where everything really happens. But obviously we’re starting off on the right foot today to be starting on the front row and hopefully we can do a good job tomorrow. You know, the Pfaff guys have done a fantastic job all year executing on strategy and hopefully we can come home with a big result.”

The GTD class will be led by Frankie Montecalvo in the No. 12 VasserSullivan Lexus RC F GT3 with co-driver Aaron Telitz.
