Glimpse of MiataCon Live Stream Starts Friday

Lime Rock Park will once again offer fans a free streaming option for MiataCon (Oct. 25-26) on its YouTube Channel featuring a Glimpse of MiataCon powered by Mazda of Milford. (Stream Here)

The ‘Glimpse of MiataCon’ camera will be perched below the pedestrian bridge, allowing fans to witness every generation of the Miata MX-5 race down the Sam Posey Straight. The one-camera live stream promises an unfiltered, unedited and unadulterated authentic experience for fans at home.

The Voice of Lime Rock Park Greg Rickes and statistician Craig Robertson will lend their expertise to guide viewers through the racing, sharing history and stories behind the cars and their drivers as they lap Lime Rock Park. The live stream will begin daily at 9:00 a.m. ET.

MiataCon promises to be an action-packed weekend honoring the Mazda Miata. This inclusive grassroots race weekend will feature three different Miata race groups: Spec Miata (Group 1), Open NC and ND, which includes MX-5 Cup cars (Group 2), and an Open Group which will include a mix of NA and NB Miatas (Group 3). Also featured on the weekend will be a number of Miata-only HPDE sessions. Practice and qualifying will fill Friday’s on-track activity, while Saturday opens with sprint races from each group and culminates with an hour-long multi-group enduro. (Full Schedule)

Friday’s activities will also feature “Intro to MiataX” – Miata-only autocross lapping sessions on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds that includes special instruction and shorter sessions for beginners. A limited number of MiataX spots will be available via the MiataCon registration page. (MiataX – Lime Rock Park)

Miata owners from all generations will have the chance to come together to celebrate their love for the Japanese sportscar. The weekend will feature six different Miata car corrals, part of the Moss Miata Car Show, where like-minded Miata enthusiasts can park amongst each other and participate in parade laps around the iconic Lime Rock Park circuit. The different corral classifications include: NA Miata (1989- 1997), NB Miata (1998 – 2005), NC Miata (2006 – 2015), ND Miata (2016 – present), Mazda and JDM Sportscars and Kei Cars.
