GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Returns to Lime Rock Park: Complete Festival Guide

GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Festival returns to Lime Rock Park this weekend (Aug. 16-18) for an action-packed celebration of motorsports and car culture from the 1980s to present day. The weekend will feature racing from more than 300 cars ranging from TrackBattle Time Attack, GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC), Drifting on the main circuit, Rush SR Racing to a Legends Shootout and more.

Off track there’s even more for fans to enjoy. The GRIDLIFE Arcade will serve as the social hub of the festival, complete with racing simulators, arcade games and a bar/lounge with music and karaoke. While the Prime Concours will host dream cars from the 1980s to the 2000s.

We will breakdown everything you need to see and do while at GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Festival in this official Festival Guide:

  1. Racing

The racing from GRIDLIFE will be even bigger than last year, with each group bolstering rosters of 40 or more cars.

What’s Racing?:

GLTC Touring Car Racing is the largest touring car series in the world! The weekend will feature eight action packed races from GLTC between Friday and Saturday.

NOS Energy TrackBattle will feature multiple Time Attack sessions of some of the fastest cars in North America chasing record laps throughout the weekend.

Model 3 Challenge is a road-course EV driving series. Model 3 Challenge uses power-limited Tesla Model 3s, so various configurations of the car can compete together in short sprint competitions without losing performance.

Rush SR is a wheel-to-wheel sprint racing series that utilizes the Rush SR from Rush Auto Works. This lightweight and high-performance sports racer is designed to be a driver’s car from the ground up. The cars start at just over $39,000 and are raced as-is in a tightly controlled Spec form in this new national championship. The 10-round championship will be contested at five GRIDLIFE events in 2024, including GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends.

Drift Jam Sessions are GRIDLIFE curated full drifting sessions for invited drivers only. GRIDLIFE prides itself on bringing Drift onto big tracks and integrating it into a motorsports melting pot of good vibes and high fives. Putting drift drivers on the same courses as the road racers offers a unique opportunity for high-speed driving and exciting firsts in the drift community. This year, GRIDLIFE will host six Drift Jam Sessions at Lime Rock Park, featuring a new tire that creates less smoke so you can see every drift around the corners. Celebrity drivers like T-Pain also join the Drift Jam Sessions.

  1. Prime Legends Concours

At the heart of the event is the Prime Legends Concours, a celebration of the vehicles that inspired a generation. The invite-only collection is focused on impeccable examples of JDM, EDM and USDM racing and tuning cars from the late 1980s through the early 2000s.

When to Visit: The Concours will be open on both Friday and Saturday, but the best time to visit is on Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. when all the cars will be officially staged.

Insider Tip: If you would like to see the cars in motion, the Prime Concours will take parade laps on Saturday after racing concludes.
