LAKEVILLE, CONN. (21 May 2024) – Building off the momentum from 2023, nearly 20 local breweries will come together at Lime Rock Park on Sunday to compete in the Connecticut Craft Beer Grand Prix presented by Great Falls Brewing Co., all vying for the Best Craft Beer in Connecticut.

Curated by Great Falls Brewing Co. and Lime Rock Park to support the popular Trans Am Memorial Day Classic weekend, this ultimate craft beer experience allows fans to discover the best brews in the state and meet the talented brewers behind them all while also benefiting Miles for Smiles for Hadley, a non-profit that raises funds to support local families with children who have Down Syndrome and other medical conditions.

The event will once again showcase Connecticut craft breweries, food trucks, games, raffles and live music from Brother Other, offering a vibrant atmosphere with unmatched views of classic cars from the Royals Garage Car Show.

“We are so excited about the growth of the Connecticut Craft Beer Grand Prix over the last three years,” said Lime Rock Park Events Manager Emily Riess. “We are also beyond delighted to partner and support Miles for Smiles for Hadley this year. It is an incredible charity that has a huge impact on our local community.”

In addition to a busy schedule of traditional race events in 2024, Lime Rock Park has continued to grow its offerings this year by hosting a series of community events, which includes the CT Craft Beer Grand Prix, adding a vast array of activities for the whole family to enjoy while also raising money for local charities. The CT Craft Beer Grand Prix is from Noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday (May 26). Tickets include a commemorative sample glass, unlimited samples from dozens of CT breweries, live music, food trucks, yard games and parking. General Admission tickets to the CT Beer Grand Prix are $35 and can be added to the Memorial Day Classic or Royals Garage Car Show. Designated

Judging Information:
Breweries will be entering their beers into 15 different categories, including the covenant People’s Choice Award decided by the event attendees. Each category contains a variety of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and the Great American Beer Festival defined sub-styles to allow participating breweries to best match and categorize their entries, judged by a planning committee of brewers and experienced beer judges from across the state.

Over the last few weeks, hundreds of beers from all across the state were collected and professionally judged to determine the best brews in each of the 15 categories.

In conjunction with the CT Craft Beer Grand Prix, Lime Rock Park and Royals’ Garage are teaming up to put on a beautiful car show.
