Lime Rock to Showcase Daytona Prototype, Two GT Cars and Local Drivers in New York City, Wednesday, April 28. GRAND-AM race at Connecticut track on Memorial Day Monday is the focus.
In what is a first for both Metro-North Railroad and Lime Rock Park, the details of an all-inclusive Metro-North Getaway Package to the GRAND-AM sports car races at Lime Rock will be announced at a morning press function Wednesday, April 28, at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Taxi Stand (East 43rd Avenue at Vanderbilt Avenue, on the west side of Grand Central Terminal in New York City.), beginning at 8:00 a.m.  and running until about 3:00 p.m.

Highlighting the April 28 combination public/media event will be leading cars and drivers racing on Monday, May 31, at Lime Rock, competing in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 championship.
Four actual race cars – not show cars – along with their respective drivers, owners, crew chiefs and sponsors, will be on hand. High-ranking officials from Lime Rock, GRAND-AM and Metro-North.

Fans can meet the drivers, crew chiefs and team owners associated with the following teams, whose actual race cars will be on site:

The Memorial Day race at Lime Rock Park will be round five of the 12-race GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. Teams and drivers will practice, qualify and race all on Monday, May 31. GRAND-AM’s street stock series, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, will also compete. The series, which features high-performance Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and BMW M3s in addition to compact cars such as Mazda MX-5s, Honda Civics and Volkswagen GTIs, races on Saturday, May 29.
