10 MUST-DO Non-Racing Activities at the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic
Lime Rock Park is set to kick off its 69th season this weekend with the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic, but if the thunder of 850+ horsepower isn’t enough for you, we have five MUST-DO non-racing activities while you’re here, most of which are FREE with a General Admission ticket.
1. VISIT THE COCA-COLA FAN ZONE
When: Thursday-Sunday
Where: The Midway, now called the Coca-Cola Fan Zone
Fast Fact: There will be 36 vendors and food trucks in the Coca-Cola Fan Zone.
About: There’s so much to do in the Coca-Cola Fan Zone. Monster Energy Drink and Coca-Cola will be giving free samples of new flavors all weekend. You can snap a photo in front of the giant LRP letters, have lunch at one of the food trucks, find unique art items and racing-themed creations from vendors and even take a lap around Lime Rock Park in a simulator from Artis Race Labs.

2. GET A DRIVER’S AUTOGRAPH
When: Friday, 1:00 p.m.
Where: Country Carpenters Beer Pavilion
About: The Trans Am Series Driver Autograph Session will feature Paul Menard, Tomy Drissi, Rafa Matos, Jared Odrick and Matthew Brabham. This is a free event, but the line will be cut off if it exceeds the number of fans that can get through during the allotted time.
Items to Bring: Sharpie and camera. Pick up an event-exclusive poster from the Lime Rock Gear souvenir shop or the annual Trans Am poster at the TA transporter for drivers to autograph, or bring something of your own.
3. GO ON A FAN WALK TO MEET DRIVERS
When: Saturday, 1:40-2:10 p.m.
Where: Sam Posey Front Straight
About: The Fan Walks at Lime Rock Park give attendees the chance to get an up-close look at their favorite Trans Am cars, drivers and teams. This is open to all ticket holders. The full field of Trans Am drivers and cars will be available for photos and autographs.
Items to Bring: Sharpie and camera. Pick up an event-exclusive poster from the Lime Rock Gear souvenir shop or the annual Trans Am poster at the TA transporter for drivers to autograph, creating the ultimate Trans Am Memorial Day Classic souvenir.
Insider Tip: This activity is the most popular non-racing event of the weekend, so visit the driver and car you want to see first. Cars will be staged by qualifying order, making it easy to locate your favorite teams and drivers.
4. TAKE THE KIDS TO THE KIDS ZONE
When: Thursday-Saturday
Where: Located in the Coca-Cola Fan Zone at the entrance of Spectator Hill
About: The Kids Zone is part of the Coca-Cola Fan Zone located on the Midway, but there’s so much for kids to do that it deserves its own spot on the list. Kids can get their face painted, dress up and take photos in the photo booth, climb on an open-wheel race car, play yard games or break in the newly installed playground donated by Goff Equipment.
5. TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE AT LIME ROCK PARK TRIVIA NIGHT
When: Friday, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Country Carpenters Beer Pavilion
About: Join us for the inaugural Lime Rock Park Trivia Night. Test your knowledge against other Lime Rock Park race fans to win prizes. Join a team or create a team of one. Everyone is welcome to this free event. Categories include Trans Am history, Lime Rock Park and general racing.
Insider Tip: The Foolproof Brewing bar will be open serving beer on tap, including the limited-edition Memorial Day Classic New England IPA.
6. SAMPLE A BLOODY MARY
When: Saturday 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Where: Beside the Country Carpenters Beer Pavilion
About: Our newest hard-beverage partner, Manny’s Ultimate Mixes, will be sampling their Bloody Marys to race fans 21 and older. Don’t miss the Saturday morning Bloody Mary specials.
7. TASTE A NEW LIMITED-EDITION BEER FROM FOOLPROOF BREWING
When: Thursday-Sunday
Where: Country Carpenters Beer Pavilion and Park Provision Concessions
Fast Fact: Only 500 cans of the Memorial Day Classic event beer will be available.
About: Lime Rock Park will feature three beers in partnership with Foolproof Brewing Company during the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic, including the new limited-edition Memorial Day Classic New England IPA featuring an American stock car on the can. Only 500 collectible cans will be available on-site during the weekend.
Two year-round signature brews, Track Day IPA and Left Hander Lager, return this year and will also be served on draft and in cans throughout the 2026 season.
Insider Tip: Purchase a four-pack so you can drink three and leave one full to collect.
8. ATTEND THE ROYALS’ GARAGE CAR SHOW
When: Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
(Show cars should arrive between 8:00-11:00 a.m.)
Where: Sam Posey Straight, rain or shine
About: Lime Rock Park and Royals’ Garage are teaming up to put on a beautiful car show. For the 17th consecutive year, Royals’ Garage will wrap the track with amazing cars, all to benefit charity, rain or shine, on Sunday, May 24. This year’s event benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Insider Tip: You can register your car the day of the event, but registration is cash or check only.
9. TOUR THE PADDOCK
When: Thursday-Saturday
Where: A & B Paddock at the bottom of the hill
About: The Trans Am and SVRA paddocks are open to all General Admission ticket holders. Catch a glimpse of teams working on cars, Pirelli mounting tires or maybe even run into a driver.
10. DON’T FORGET THE MERCH
When: Thursday-Sunday
Where: The Barber Shop located in A Paddock
About: Find event posters and shirts, official Lime Rock Park hoodies and swag plus other collectibles only available at Lime Rock Park.
Insider Tip: If you want an event T-shirt, they usually sell out early. Make the Barber Shop your first stop.
