Kart the Park Returns to Lime Rock Park with More Dates to Race
Lime Rock Park and HRD extend partnership for 2026
LAKEVILLE, CONN. (9 February 2026)– While Lime Rock Park is best known for its iconic 1.5-mile road course, another track within the property has been drawing increased attention in recent seasons.
Located in Lime Rock Park’s infield, the FCP Euro Proving Grounds autocross track transforms into a karting half-mile configuration that delivers a high-intensity experience with technical corners and elevation changes, appealing to competitive drivers while providing a dynamic environment for enthusiasts to build skills and confidence behind the wheel.
After a successful inaugural season that saw nearly every date sell out in 2025, Lime Rock Park is expanding its Kart the Park powered by Housatonic Racing Development program for 2026, adding 23% more dates to meet growing demand.
The Kart the Park 2026 schedule kicks off Wednesday, April 22, with additional dates slated through October. (Full Schedule)
Kart the Park is an arrive-and-drive karting experience open to drivers of all skill levels, offering fast-paced action in a controlled, professional setting for people over the age of 13.
No prior karting experience or personal equipment is required. Drivers simply register, arrive at the track, gear up and hit the gas.
“The response to Kart the Park exceeded every expectation in its first year,” said Chief Marketing Officer at Lime Rock Park Jamie Kistner. “Seeing nearly every seat sell out confirmed that this program resonated with families, first-time drivers and longtime racing fans. Expanding the schedule for 2026 allows us to welcome even more people to experience Lime Rock Park in a fun, accessible and safe way.”
Each race session features up to 12 gas-powered karts on track at a time, creating an eight-minute head-to-head racing experience where drivers can chase lap times and bragging rights. CRG Centurion karts are utilized, prepared and maintained by HRD.
Helmets and protective neck rolls are provided for all participants.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Lime Rock Park and build on the momentum from last year,” said Jack Scott, owner of Housatonic Racing Development. “Karting has always been a natural entry point for racing and Kart the Park creates a welcoming environment where karters can experience real racing fundamentals in a professional setting.”
Kart the Park is also available for private rentals, making it an ideal option for corporate outings, group events and special occasions. Interested parties can contact Stephen Huntley at stephen@limerock.com for availability and reservations.
