Sunday in the Park: The Lime Rock Concours
As a part of HF43’s Sunday in the Park, The Lime Rock Concours will again offer a distinguished lineup of beautiful and historic cars across several groups that vie for Class Awards, Special Awards and the coveted Best-in-Show Awards.
This year’s Concours will showcase a variety of special displays, including important competition cars from the collection of Rob Dyson; seductively styled Italian GTs from the collection of Ernie Boch, Jr.; an exhibition of the “Ragtime Racers” pre-1920 Indy cars from the “Heroic Age” of motor racing; contemporary supercars sponsored by Miller Motorcars; an assortment of Cyclekarts, half-scale tributes to notable racing cars of the past; and an extensive presentation of Triumph production and competition cars taking place in the Kastner Cup honoring Kas Kastner, which is taking place during the racing days of this year’s Historic Festival.
In addition to prewar, postwar and competition Triumphs reflecting this year’s honored racing marque, this year’s Lime Rock Concours will also include a number of special classes highlighting marques or milestones of particular interest. The storied history of Ferrari will be reflected in a collection of classic V12-powered Ferrari GT cars. We will also be chronicling the tremendous contribution to automotive design made by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Important anniversaries this year include BMW’s highly successful 3-Series in all its forms as well as the rich and extensive history of Rolls Royce, celebrating its 120th birthday.
Other classes will celebrate the Porsche 356, the distinctive and sophisticated cars of the Stutz Motor Car Company and the fascinating stories of classic cars that remain with their original owners. The Hemi engine’s important contribution to the image of Chrysler performance cars will be illustrated with a variety of muscle and performance cars, balanced with a display of equally impressive AC Cobras. The roadster’s contribution to automotive mythology will showcase a variety of gorgeous classics, while the inventive early days of postwar American sports cars will include some rarely seen designs.
In addition to Triumph cars, will also be featuring Triumph motorcycles, as well as a motorcycle class devoted to the especially impressive multi-cylinder, high-performance bikes.
Additional classes will cover pre- and postwar American and European cars along with our always surprising Preservation class.
All of the classes this year are listed below. Entries can be submitted here, or via the button below. Entrants will be informed on a rolling basis.
