LAKEVIEW, CONN. (16 August 2022)- Plenty of action will be happening on the track during the GRIDLIFE: Circuit Legends this weekend (Aug. 19-21), but there are also plenty of off-the-track activities for the whole family to enjoy while visiting Lime Rock Park.

You won’t want to miss out on these five family-fun activities.

1. Legends Concours
The Legends Concours is a celebration of the vehicles that inspired a generation. The invite-only collection is focused on impeccable examples of JDM, EDM and USDM racing and tuning cars from the late 1980s through the early 2000s.

Location: The Concours will be in the areas between the two chalets – (teal rectangle inside orange shape on map below.)

When to Visit: Best time to visit is Saturday from 11am to 6pm

Spotlight: Earlier this year, Racing Pride expanded its world-leading movement to positively promote LGBTQ+ inclusion through motorsport into North America, partnering with GRIDLIFE. For the first time ever, the full set of Rainbow cars will be on display in the Legends Concours. Racing Pride ambassadors will also be on hand to chat about its mission.

2. GRIDLIFE Arcade
The GRIDLIFE Arcade is coming to Circuit Legends! At the heart of the festival, the arcade is part of the full GRIDLIFE experience and all the games will be free to play. This will definitely be the spot to hang all weekend.

Location: The GRIDLIFE Arcade is located on the plateau on spectator hill (orange rectangle on map below)

When to Visit: The Arcade will be open Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight, but the bar will close at 10 p.m.

Activities: Play classic 80s and 90s arcade games, like Pac-Man and Street Fighter, become a master on vintage pinball machines, test your lap times on the Lime Rock Park circuit against other guests on racing simulators and for those 21+ enjoy the bar to keep you cool while you play.

3. Esports Competition
GRIDLIFE competition is just as hot off the track with the GRIDLIFE Esports event happening during the GRIDLIFE: Circuit Legends. GRIDLIFE sims will feature the iRacing version of the classic Lime Rock Park circuit in a bracket-style competition.

Location: Inside the GRIDLIFE Arcade

When to Visit: The bracket starts at 7:00 p.m.

Insider Tip: The arcade and the sims are free so you can practice throughout the day on the virtual Lime Rock Park circuit ahead of the competition.

4. KIDLIFE
The GRIDLIFE kids zone brings more activities and fun for even the little racers in the bunch.

Location: KidLife will also be on the plateau (in the orange rectangle on the map below).

When to Visit: KidLife is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday only

Activities: Kids, and kids at heart, can enjoy a variety of yard games, the RC Hot Wheel race track, coloring books among other kid-focused activities.

5. Camping
Experience camping at Lime Rock Park like never before. After racing concludes each day, the GRIDLIFE party moves into the campgrounds on Friday and Saturday night.

Location: Lime Rock Park Campground with trackside options available.

When to Visit: Camping load-in starts on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. All campers must be packed up and exiting the facility by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Activities: Camping throughout the facility with an opening BBQ, closing brunch, campfire hangs and great vibes all weekend long.

Must Do: After a long day of racing, wind down on Friday night with Campground Karaoke, starting at 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday the event will close with a banquet which includes a campside BBQ.

Editor’s Note: GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends will be a full weekend experience. Camping is additional to the General Admission event ticket. Car, Van, Tent and RV camping will be allowed. BONUS ACTIVITY:
FCP Euro Sunday Motoring Meet
FCP Euro’s popular Sunday Motoring Meet, part of Sundays at The Park, returns to Lime Rock to close out the GRIDLIFE: Circuit Legends weekend with an all.
Location: Sam Posey Straight

When to Visit: Sunday, August 21, gates open for fans at 9 a.m. and the event wraps up at 1:00 p.m.

Insiders Tip: Stop by the Park Provisions concessions stand in the Paddock A for the new breakfast items on the menu.

Editors Note: This event is free for all fans and all show car entrants. You do not need to have purchased a GRIDLIFE: Circuit Legends ticket to attend.

*All the events above, besides camping, are included with any General Admission ticket. Camping does require an additional pass. The FCP Euro Sunday Motoring Meet does not require a ticket. Remember that all kids 12 and younger receive free admission to Lime Rock Park. Active military and veterans also receive free admission to all events at Lime Rock with a valid military ID.
