LAKEVILLE, CONN., (31 May 2024) – Lime Rock Park is thrilled to announce that applications are now being accepted for the much-anticipated Lime Rock Concours, part of Historic Festival 42 (Aug. 31-Sept. 2). Staged amidst the picturesque landscapes of Lime Rock Park, this prestigious event promises a compelling showcase of vintage automobiles and motorcycles, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in automotive history and elegance.
As an integral part of Sunday in The Park, The Lime Rock Concours presents a unique lineup of exquisite and historic cars spanning various classes, all vying for the esteemed Best-in-Show Award. This year, Ford is the official marque of Historic Festival, and accordingly, Festival organizers have lined up an impressive selection of Ford-focused classes, each offering a glimpse into different eras and styles of Ford automotive excellence.

In addition, the Concours will showcase the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and celebrate the legacy of Ford Performance and Motorsports. Anchoring the event will be Honored Collector Ross Myers, a regular entrant in Historic Trans-Am and a long-time competitor at Lime Rock Park. As benefactor of the 3 Dog Garage Museum in Boyertown, Penn., Myers will showcase a large variety of rare and significant Ford-powered racers, sports cars and hot rods from the museum that will be on display throughout the weekend and during Sunday in The Park.
3 Dog Garage’s 1970 Bud Moore Ford Mustang Trans-Am Car, 1932 Ford Ricky Nelson Roadster, & 1963 Competition 289 Cobra to be on display at the Lime Rock Concours & throughout the HF42 weekend. The Cobra was primarily driven by Ken Miles throughout the 1963 race season, earning numerous class victories.
Paying homage to the iconic American brand’s rich automotive legacy, the Ford-dedicated classes will range from historic and modern Ford GTs to the most unique class, “Found On Road Daily”, that showcases barn finds, project cars, restomods and other interesting Fords that come with a story.
In conjunction with the Ford presence on the Concours, Festival organizers have also lined up a variety of featured classes, each highlighting marques or milestones of particular interest. Among these, the rich history of Lancia will be showcased, featuring iconic sports and competition cars. Additionally, the classic tradition of Italian craftsmanship will be honored with a class featuring cars bodied by the renowned coachbuilder Touring. Celebrating milestones, the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 will be marked, along with classic American Cars of the Nickel era.
Curating a collection of unique & interesting European cars, FCP Euro will host the judged The FCP Euro Selection class, offering an enticing departure from traditional Concours flare. This exclusive class will showcase vehicles that reflect the diverse tastes and pure passion of FCP Euro’s community, emphasizing individuality over conventionality.
Adding to the excitement, a new class debuts this year: Contemporary Coachbuilding, where the artistry of current coachbuilders will be displayed on both classic and modern chassis.
