Lime Rock Park Expands FCP Euro Proving Grounds Schedule for 2026
Schedule builds on rising participation and a more competitive Autocross Invitational Shootout
LAKEVILLE, CONN. (2 April 2026) – After another year of record participation and growing demand, Lime Rock Park is once again expanding its FCP Euro Proving Grounds schedule, delivering its most robust autocross and driver development calendar to date in 2026.
Following a breakout 2025 season that saw nearly 1,600 participants take part in its autocross programming, Lime Rock Park will host 58 autocross and on-track dates (both weekend and weekday) from April through November 2026, with a lineup designed for drivers ranging from first-time participants to experienced competitors.
“The FCP Euro Proving Grounds has become a popular and exciting entry point into motorsports,” said Lime Rock Park Track Programs Manager Stephen Huntley. “We are seeing more drivers than ever come through our programs, and this schedule allows us to continue building that momentum while creating meaningful experiences for drivers at every level.”
Autocross Lapping Days return as the foundation of the program, offering 53 sessions across the season. The four-hour format gives drivers the opportunity to push their own vehicles on a variety of course configurations, making it one of the most approachable and popular ways to experience performance driving at Lime Rock Park. For those looking to explore Lime Rock Park’s facilities with expert instruction, Track Tapas offers a unique two-hour educational experience across 15 scheduled dates. Participants sample both the FCP Euro Proving Grounds and the 1.5-mile road course while receiving guidance from professional coaches, making it an ideal introduction to performance driving. Drivers seeking a more intensive training experience can take advantage of Advanced Driver Coaching, available on three select dates. Designed for experienced drivers, this half-day program focuses on skill refinement through structured exercises, including repetitive drills and precision car control development on the skid pad. Test & Tune sessions will also be offered on three select dates, giving licensed racing drivers the opportunity to take full advantage of Lime Rock Park’s road course in race-prepared cars. (Click for More Information)
“Together, these programs are creating a clear pathway for drivers to progress their skills,” continued Huntly. “With the continued growth of Kart the Park and the introduction of the new Intro to Racing program, Lime Rock Park is expanding opportunities for fans to move from spectator to participant, building skills on the Proving Grounds before advancing onto the road course and into more competitive environments.”
At the center of the season is the return of the Autocross Invitational Shootout, where the top 30 drivers from the 2026 season will compete for the title of “Fastest of the Year.” Building on the success of previous years, the Shootout has quickly become a cornerstone event for Lime Rock Park’s grassroots driving community, combining competition, camaraderie and fan engagement.
“The level of competition continues to rise each season,” Huntly said. “In 2025, the cutoff to qualify for the top 30 dropped to a 44.599-second lap, a full 1.3 seconds quicker than the previous year’s final qualifying time. The improvement reflects not only increased participation, but also the impact of Lime Rock Park’s growing driver development programs, where participants are refining their skills and applying that progression in a competitive setting.”
Throughout the season, drivers will once again benefit from Lime Rock Park’s timing and scoring system, which delivers real-time performance data and immediate feedback, allowing participants to track progress and improve with each session.
